Lions, Lioness and Leo clubs of District 33-A collect used eyeglasses and used hearing aids. The used eyeglasses are distributed to area LensCrafters, Goodwill Industries within the District. The used eyeglasses are cleaned, repaired and classified by prescription. The eyeglasses are then distributed to those in need by Lion volunteers and other organizations hosting optical missions in developing countries.
The used hearing aids are boxed and shipped to The Worcester Evening Free Medical Service Program, they send them to their laboratories where they receive a credit from $1.00 to $50.00 depending upon the type and the condition of the hearing aid, towards the purchase of new and rebuilt ones.
